Oprah Winfrey has blasted Trump and comedian Mo’Nique, over the negative comments they did about her.
Oprah’s name seems to be in a lot of people’s mouths lately, and the mogul wants people to know that she cares not.
While promoting the film A Wrinkle In Time, Oprah was asked in an interview with Global Grind why she chooses to take the “high road” when prominent people say negative things about her, the latest coming from the 45th President of the United States and Academy Award winner Mo’Nique.
“Oh my gosh. It’s impossible. It’s a law that if you meet negative with negative, you will just have a combusted negative force and negative energy,” she said. “You can’t meet negative energy where it is. You have to rise above it. You have to transcend it.”
Global Grind Interview: @Oprah speaks out about the negative comments that she’s been receiving and why she doesn’t entertain negative energy with a response. A MUST SEE. In a tweet, Trump pretty much dared Oprah to run against him because he claimed that if she did, she would be “…exposed and defeated just like all the others!” And Mo’Nique continues to say that Oprah was one of the big, bad figures that has contributed to her being blackballed in the entertainment industry. Although these people keep coming for the entertainment giant, Oprah is not blinking an eye at their foolishness.
“You can’t meet negative energy where it is. You have to rise above it,” she declared, tying her response into the theme of A Wrinkle in Time. “You have to transcend it. You have to be the light. It only takes a little bit of light to banish the darkness…so I would never stoop to try to meet somebody where they are negatively. Don’t care who they are.”
Sounds like Oprah has made it very clear that after 64 years on this earth, she will not be entertaining any drama from these people or anyone else in the future. They should, like all of us, make sure to check out the “lessons of light” in the new film that drops Mar. 9.
